The current POI core is our self-hosted Place Graph, populated from a bounded, reviewed Overture Maps pilot for Lausanne. Overture source references and feature-level licence provenance remain attached to each imported record.

Approved additional sources include MeteoSwiss observations under CC BY 4.0 and selected Wikidata structured data under CC0. Wikimedia Commons media is admitted only with its own author, source and licence attribution; an image never inherits the licence of a different place-data provider.

Geoapify is optional enrichment, disabled by default. It runs only when a server-side API key and the separate feature enablement setting are both present. Places without rights-cleared media remain discoverable and use a non-photographic category visual; Brand visuals are kept distinct from photographs of a location. Mock records remain explicitly marked. No real LIVE webcam, hotel or commercial event source is currently connected.

City hero backdrops are project-local generated illustrations used only in the Discover/Near Me hero. They are not provider data, documentary photographs, LIVE views, current weather or photographs of individual places, and they are never used as Place Detail or Map imagery.
